Join us as we proudly present the ACI Central Texas Chapter Excellence in Concrete Construction Award to the Fort Hood Roller-Compacted Concrete (RCC) Pavement Project.

This recognition celebrates outstanding achievement in concrete construction, honoring the exceptional durability and performance of the original 40-year-old RCC pavement and the successful expansion of 26,000 square yards of new RCC pavement by Rollcon, the Department of Public Works (DPW) at Fort Hood, and TTG Utilities, Inc.

Presentation Title: From Proven Performance to Modern Practice: RCC Pavement at Fort Hood

Description: Building on the success of a 40-year-old RCC pavement that has required no maintenance, the DPW at Fort Hood engineers will discuss how this long-term performance influenced their decision to expand RCC use at Fort Hood. Rollcon will present the design and construction details of the new 26,000-square-yard, 9-inch RCC pavement, emphasizing quality control measures, placement techniques, and key takeaways from the project. The Fort Hood RCC project was recently recognized as a winner of the ACI Central Texas Chapter Construction Awards, underscoring its excellence in durability, innovation, and execution.

Speakers: Barry Bozio, Department of Public Works (DPW) at Fort Hood, and Tim Maune, Rollcon
