CALLING FOR VOLUNTEERS!

We will be doing a group volunteer event at the Ronald McDonald House (RMH) in Austin, TX. Many families travel far from home and spend several weeks or months to get treatment for their seriously ill or injured children – a long time to be away or to divide a family. And, for children facing a serious medical crisis, nothing seems scarier than not having mom and dad close by for love and support. The Ronald McDonald House is a “home-away-from-home” for families so they can stay close by their hospitalized child at little to no cost. We will be preparing dinner for these families.

When: Thursday November 30, 2023

4:00pm to 6:30pm

Attire: We will be cooking a meal indoors. Please dress appropriately as sometimes things can get messy. Masks and gloves will be required the entire time inside the facility. All attendees are required to present proof of vaccination per RMH guidelines.

Tasks: After a long day at the hospital, there’s nothing more appreciated than having a meal. We will be preparing a comforting meal for the families at the RMH. They will provide the kitchen. We will choose the menu, purchase the ingredients, prepare the meal and serve the families boxed meals. We will need to cook for 25-30 people. Parking: Please park for free in the Dell Children’s Hospital "Employee/Visitor" parking lot located east of the Ronald McDonald House.
