Ms. Sabrina I. Garber is a Project Manager for Transtec and a Technical Support and Sales Manager for Transtec Products. She has a graduate degree in civil engineering with a focus on construction materials from the University of Texas at Austin. Over the past 15 years, she has been involved in pavement forensic, design, research, and technical transfer work. The purpose of her work is always to identify, help develop, and implement state-of-the-art and state-of-the-practice construction methods for practical implementation in field activities with a focus on concrete materials. She coauthored the first US implementation guidelines for nonwoven geotextile fabrics in concrete pavements, the HIPERPAV III User Manual, and helped develop modules with the FHWA COMPASS software program. She is currently involved in supporting temperature monitoring of mass placements and the implementation of ASTM C 1074 Standard Practice for Estimating Concrete Strength by the Maturity Method. She regularly works with owner agencies, engineers, and contractors on proper implementation of concrete temperature testing devices according to project specifications, best practices, and practical approach techniques. She is knowledgeable in the types of technologies currently available for monitoring concrete temperature and estimating in-place concrete strength. She has been involved in the development of state agency specifications for concrete maturity implementation and has advised contractors on best practice implementations on projects in the US, Canada, South America, China, and Australia. Sabrina is active in professional organizations including TRB and ACI.
